Meet Our Board

Patty Scholz-Cohen,
President

Patty has lived in New Castle, NH for more than thirty years where she and her husband raised two daughters as well as several beloved dogs and cats. She has served on a variety of nonprofit boards in the Seacoast and NH as well as for the Town of New Castle's Planning Board and Select Board. She has been passionate about helping to create NH Pet Aid since learning about a Seacoast family who had to surrender their dog because they couldn't afford to pay for its medical care.

Diane Schaefer,
Vice President

Diane has worked with nonprofit organizations in New Hampshire for more than 30 years, helping leadership raise more funding to support their charitable missions. She was an avowed “cat person” until she and her husband rescued Luna, a lively American Cocker Spaniel who keeps them busy on walks around Portsmouth. (Although she still loves cats!)

Brie is a local business owner who has been offering dog camp and training opportunities to the Seacoast’s furriest for 6+ years. While working through a college degree in the Southeast she couldn’t help but volunteer with a local animal rescue to pull, rehab, and adopt out as many dogs & cats as possible. Animal rights and

a general humanitarian nature have always been  catalyzing themes in her life, so joining NH Pet Aid seemed to align just right with her passion for paws. She lives in NH with her partner, 2 dogs, and 6 chickens.

She is currently an associate veterinarian at a practice in southern New Hampshire. In her spare time she enjoys taking walks with her dog, playing with her cat, and going to the beach. Marion Crombie

Marion grew up right here in New Hampshire and has always had a passion for animals. She has worked in the transportation world as a sales account representative for over 30 years and really enjoys it. Marion has two sons and four grandchildren, who are the most important people in her life. She spends a lot of time with them at baseball, football and basketball games watching them and cheering them on, which brings her much joy! Marion is a firm believer that if you give love, you'll get it back tenfold from both family and animals. She has found that to be the case throughout her life.

Help Us Keep Animals Out of Shelters
No pet owner wants to face the terrible decision to surrender their beloved family member because they can't afford to pay for their care.
